About Correct English
Correct English accepts contract work projects as English copy editors and copywriters of English language documents. We are located in Wellington, New Zealand. We also assist and serve Chinese business people and their companies by editing and translating their documents.
Terry Alve, pictured, founded Correct English in 2010 to complement his work as a website developer and web copywriter. Terry has an honours degree in Civil Engineering (Canterbury, Christchurch) and a postgraduate degree in Theology (Melbourne College of Divinity).
Words, written and spoken, have been Terry's business for 30 years. He offers you his unique skill-set as an active listener, mentor, "attention to detail" person, his high work ethic, and business experience.
Terry is supported in this enterprise by a team of Associates.
The husband and wife team of Simon Perris and Sarah Alve are primary Associate Editors. Sarah has a Masters degree in Applied Linguistics and a Diploma in TESOL (Victoria, Wellington). She is also a UK registered primary school teacher. Simon has a Doctorate in Greek Classics (Oxford, UK) and currently works as a lecturer at Victoria University, Wellington. Simon reads and speaks and reads several languages and is an able pianist.
John Milne, former ambassador of Chateau Kiwi Wines, divides his business time between Christchurch, NZ and Guangzhou, China. He networks and does business with people in both countries through his company Jomarco Holdings Limited. As an Associate, John promotes and makes project referrals to Correct English.
A Wellington-based Chinese national who is fluent in English completes Chinese to English translation and other checking services for Correct English as an Associate Contractor.
Other contractors may be used as necessary.
