During the past month Value Websites has been present at the Bizzone Small Business Expos in Wellington & Christchurch.
It has been a busy but satisfying time as Value Websites has joined with other Woogloo resellers in promotions at the Wellington (22-24 July) and Christchurch (5-7 August).
While other website development agencies were represented at the Expos, the Woogloo distinctives of:
- Economy
- Functionality
- Marketing websites
- CMS
- Timeliness
ensured that many enquiries were fielded at the stands and many on site registrations are being followed up by resellers.
 A feature of the Woogloo presence at both Expos was the Friday night seminar presentations at nearby venues. Over 25 people attended these at very short notice and stayed the full three hours each time - such is the quality of presentation that Terrence Bull - Woogloo CEO - offers participants. Please enquire if you would like Terrence to present at a venue near you on the theme of, "Database Marketing - How a Website really Works". If we can raise sufficient to cover costs - he'll be there.
So what impressions do we take away from the Expos?
- The recession is biting with many people admitting they were redundant from previous employment.
- Redundancies are prompting many to consider establishing a small business.
- Some are considering becoming Woogloo resellers as a way through redundancy - music to Terrence's ears!
- In Christchurch we noted that a number more older people were visiting the expo and looking for the marketing edge.
- It was easier for Woogloo reps. to get contact information from Wellington Expo attendees than Cantabrians.
- However, Canterbury registrations were more responsive than those in Wellington.
- Perhaps Wellingtonians find it easier to say "No' than Cantabrians!
Finally, a bit of marketing intelligence.
Bizzone the company behind the Expos will, at the end of August, launch their online Expo. A basic listing is free but you'll pay for an enhanced one.
